Somebody was asking me about the Tesco Quiches the other day. They were wondering what my opinion was on them. I got to say I’ve never tried them but I did have a look through the Pre-Packed Quiche section on the Tesco web site. At first glance I was impressed by the selection, quite a lot to choose from and nothing seemed dear. The ones that interested me were the Quiche Lorraines as I like bacon, I think cheese and onion Quiche is a bit boring and stuff like Broccoli Quiche a bit fancy.
Anyhow, looking through the ingredients of the Tesco Quiche Lorraines I was disappointed to see that so many were made from Reformed Bacon. I don’t like that for an idea.
I noticed that the Tesco Deep Fill Quiches appear to be made from Bacon and Gammon that is the real stuff. They are the dearest one’s in their range but I wouldn’t mess about with anything less. They are doing any 2 for £4 at the moment.
